Links between Standards, Education, Testing & Certification

The educational and training programs developed by the OFM or in partnership with the OAFC are based on a sound educational process that begins with occupational standards that are developed by and for practitioners. Education and training programs are designed to meet these standards.

Upon completion of a program or course of study that is based on a Standard, candidates are tested in skills and knowledge, to ensure that they have met the competencies as defined in the Standard.

Once the testing is complete, and any other requirements are met, candidates are offered Certification.
