INDUSTRIAL FIREFIGHTER TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES AT THE ONTARIO FIRE COLLEGE
The Office of the Fire Marshal and the Ontario Fire College are pleased to announce a unique training opportunity for members of Industrial Fire Brigades. This 5-day course is taught by a team of industrial and municipal firefighting instructors and is geared to industrial firefighters.
About the Course:
This 5-day course develops basic firefighting skills based on the Ontario Fire College’s Firefighter Curriculum as used by most Ontario Municipal Fire Departments. Student-learners will gain both theoretical and practical knowledge in the following subject areas:
- Protective Clothing
- S.C.B.A.
- Incident Management
- Fire Streams
- Fire Suppression Techniques
PLEASE NOTE: COURSE PARTICIPANTS MUST PROVIDE THEIR OWN TURNOUT GEAR THAT MEETS OR EXCEEDS N.F.P.A. COMPLIANT GLOVES, CSA COMPLIANT FIRE BOOTS, ONTARIO REGULATION COMPLIANT FIRE HELMET, CGSB COMPLIANT FIRE COAT AND PANTS, AS WELL AS AN NFPA COMPLIANT FLASH HOOD.
About the Ontario Fire College:
The Ontario Fire College is a residential school located on the shores of beautiful Lake Muskoka. The 98 residence rooms are dormitory-style single rooms with shared washrooms. An on-site cafeteria provides excellent meals and our fully licensed student lounge is open during the evenings.

- opportunities to interact with peers from other industrial settings
- opportunities to meet and discuss relevant fire safety issues with fire officials
Cost of the Seminar is: $1500.00 per participant - payable to the Minister of Finance. This fee covers tuition, accommodation and meals.
